Burabike Fest 2019 Charity Auction

  • About:
Specifically for the Burabike Fest 2019 Charity Auction the Batyrkhan Shukenov Public Foundation prepared a special lot – a set of five flutes, which belonged to Batyr. Each of them is unique and keeps the memory of the musician.
  • Creation:
In order to properly present the musical instruments, the architect and friend of the Foundation Assel Yeszhanova developed the concept of the installation. Laconic in structure, the installation is made of carefully selected materials, as natural and characteristic of the region as possible. “The warm texture of the elm tree is a non-repeating pattern of waves, cracks, splits and lines reminiscent of mountain and steppe reliefs. The slender holders for the five flutes are made of brass, an alloy often used to make a saxophone, Batyr’s favorite instrument. The sixth element on the solid wood was Batyrkhan’s signature”.
  • In general, we wanted to create a harmonious ensemble that would emphasize the beauty of the musical instruments without overloading them with excessive aesthetics. Hopefully, we have succeeded.
